As a Lead Data Analysis, you'll support sales organizations as well as research, collect, process, and organize data into various data repositories including maintaining and updating interfaces, creating data rules and data mapping, resolving data discrepancies across multiple business applications, then responding to business requests to analyze data to generate actionable insights. The position will resolve data discrepancies, develop actionable insights, create leadership reporting, and help build scalable analytics and automation solutions. This role is a key contributor to the transition from traditional reporting to application-based and AI-enabled analytics.
The ideal candidate combines strong data analysis skills, SQL and Python capability, executive storytelling, project management discipline, and hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of modern AI, automation, and agentic development tools. This role supports core plan compensation effectiveness, incentive and accelerator analytics, sales planning insights, leadership reporting, senior leadership presentations, and business transformation initiatives.
What you’ll do
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Data Collection and Processing: Gather, preprocess, and cleanse data from various sources to ensure it is accurate and ready for analysis.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze data using statistical methods to identify trends and insights, creating reports and recommendations for business decisions.
- Data Engineering & Semantic Layer Development: Build and maintain clean, scalable datasets using SQL, Python, Databricks, and DBT; design data models and semantic layers to support reporting, AI chatbots, and conversational analytics.
- Reporting and Visualization: Create clear, factual/precise, and compelling data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Discrepancy Resolution and Quality Assurance: Identify, resolve, and ensure the accuracy of data discrepancies across platforms, maintaining data reliability through quality control and auditing.
- Leadership Reporting and Presentations: Develop leadership dashboards, scorecards, business reviews, executive summaries, and senior leadership presentations that translate complex analysis into clear insights, decision points, and recommended actions.
- Agentic AI Solution Development: Design, prototype, or support agentic solutions using frameworks and platforms such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Microsoft AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Python-based orchestration.
- AI Workflow Automation and RAG: Build or support AI-enabled workflows using retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, semantic search, document retrieval, vector databases, prompts, tool calls, API integrations, validation checks, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Analytical Tools: Includes SQL, Python, PowerBI, Databricks, DBT, React, Streamlit, Snowflake, Salesforce, VS Code, and GitHub Copilot, and related tools to analyze data, automate processes, validate results, and deliver business insights.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science, Math, etc.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred experience includes:
- Advanced SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
- Python for data analysis, automation, data cleaning, API integration, and workflow improvement, including pandas, NumPy, openpyxl, matplotlib, requests, FastAPI, Streamlit, or similar libraries/frameworks.
- Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Snowflake, Salesforce, SharePoint, Varicent, or similar reporting, data, sales, or compensation platforms.
- Compensation analytics, incentive analytics, SPIFFs, accelerators, quota attainment, sales performance, payout processes, seller productivity, or core plan compensation effectiveness.
- Sales planning experience, including territory, quota, coverage, segmentation, pipeline, performance planning, or go-to-market analysis.
- Leadership reporting, executive dashboards, senior leadership presentations, business reviews, strategic recommendations, and decision-support materials.
- AT&T Business experience preferred, but not required.
- Project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, dependencies, risks, requirements, stakeholder follow-ups, and executive updates.
- Project management certifications preferred, such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Agile, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, or similar.
- Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of agentic AI frameworks and orchestration tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Microsoft AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, document retrieval, prompt engineering, tool calling, function calling, workflow orchestration, API integrations, or AI-assisted analytics.
