POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead, Aircraft Maintenance Controller will provide oversight and support of the day to day Maintenance Control Department activities to the satisfaction of the Senior Manager, Aviation Maintenance Control and Director of Maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Work to ensure 24 hour coverage of Maintenance Control to include all duties related to that of a Maintenance Controller if and when necessary. This includes management of sick calls and time off requests.
  • When the duties of Maintenance Control are covered, the Lead, Maintenance Controller will also be responsible for the following:
  • Ensure logical, effective, and fiscally responsible practices are being followed by the Team.
  • Provide oversite and ensure timely, professional, and thorough communication is taking place to all department customers, both internal and external.
  • Ensure Company SOP's are followed in detail to align with all Company manuals.
  • Provide audit results of Company software suites to ensure best practices are followed and data used to schedule flights and or maintenance events are accurate.
  • Identify and help resolve conflicts or shortfalls related to Maintenance Controllers.
  • Negate or minimize all risks to the Part 135 Certificate as it relates to Maintenance Control decision making.
  • Review prominent aircraft software download packages to facilitate preventive maintenance or expedited resolution of AOG events. This could include CMC, FDR, and EEC downloads.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted with current FAA regulations and OEM approved data.
  • Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as assigned/required.


MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

This position manages the following positions on a daily basis.
  • This position will not have management responsibilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in at least one of the related fields or a combination of both:
  • Corporate Aviation Maintenance
  • Military Aviation Maintenance
  • Valid and violation free Airframe and Powerplant certificate always.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous Part 135 experience preferred (not required)

The expected base salary range for this role is $79,400.00 - $113,000.00, which represents the company's current good-faith estimate of compensation for this position. Actual salary will depend on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific work location. This role may also be eligible for bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and wellness resources).
