Description
• Dallas ISD is seeking to hire a skilled Software Developer with a specialized focus on Laserfiche to help drive the development, optimization, and support of the District's document management and automation systems. The primary focus of this role will be the administration, architecture, and integration of the Laserfiche environment, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of District departments.
• Laserfiche Administration & Development: Configure, maintain, and optimize the Laserfiche environment (Repository, Workflow, Forms, and Integration).
• Workflow Automation: Design and implement automated business processes using Laserfiche Workflow and Forms to streamline District operations.
• Systems Integration: Develop and maintain robust API integrations between Laserfiche and core district applications (Student Information System, ERP, Special Education applications).
• Document Management Strategy: Assist departments in designing efficient folder structures, metadata fields, and capture workflows to ensure compliance and accessibility.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical point of contact for Laserfiche-related issues, providing debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution for document management and data integrity issues.
• System Lifecycle Management: Analyze current document management needs, recommend new system installations or modifications, and manage upgrades and patch testing.
• Reporting: Develop specialized reports based on document metadata and business process metrics to meet user specifications.
• Collaboration: Consult with departments to translate business requirements into functional automated solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for custom workflows, scripts, and integration architectures.
• Security & Compliance: Administer user permissions, security groups, records management policies, retention schedules, and audit controls to ensure compliance with District policies, FERPA, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Familiarity with ITIL standards or Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical staff.
