The Laboratory Equipment Specialist II oversees more than 500 pieces of laboratory equipment supporting theMaterials Testing Analysis and Characterization Laboratory. This role ensures equipment remains compliant through calibration, preventive maintenance, qualification / validation and repair while partnering with internal teams and external vendors to support laboratory operations in a regulated environment.

This position follows an on-site work model and requires employees to work from the Maple Grove, Minnesota facility five days per week. Your responsibilities will include:- Manage the Preclinical Equipment Program, including equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, qualification / validation and repair activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and documentation in compliance with site procedures and Global Quality System requirements.
- Coordinate equipment sourcing, purchasing, tracking and inventory management.
- Investigate equipment discrepancies, complete Nonconforming Equipment (NCEP) documentation and support validation activities.
- Manage equipment vendors, service contracts and maintenance providers.
- Ensure laboratory safety, housekeeping and compliance with applicable standards and operating procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support laboratory tours, facility improvements and cross-functional laboratory operations.
Required qualifications:- Minimum of 3 years' experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working within regulated quality systems, preferably in a medical device industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications:- Preferred experience with equipment qualification / validation, calibration and preventive maintenance.
