Labor Category Manager within Capital Group's Enterprise Souring Office, you will lead global, Enterprise-wide and cross-line of business category strategy development and sourcing execution for assigned labor and workforce-related spend categories. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping drive enterprise value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and category planning.
Leveraging spend analytics, supplier intelligence, market insights, and industry best practices, you will find opportunities to perfect costs, improve service delivery, mitigate risk, and support business aims. You will lead supplier relationships, sourcing initiatives, and commercial decision-making while partnering closely with stakeholders to align category priorities with evolving business needs.

I am the person Capital Group is looking for.Category Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with enterprise and business priorities.
- Leverage spend data, supplier intelligence, and market insights to identify opportunities for value creation, risk mitigation, and operational improvement.
- Translate market, supplier, and spend insights into actionable sourcing recommendations and decision frameworks.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand demand, challenge requirements, shape sourcing plans, and align priorities.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management- Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations across assigned categories.
- Develop sourcing strategies and negotiation approaches that deliver commercial value and business outcomes.
- Manage supplier performance through governance processes, scorecards, business reviews, and issue resolution.
- Ensure sourcing activities are executed with appropriate governance, stakeholder alignment, and procurement rigor.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence- Build trusted relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Influence sourcing decisions through data-driven recommendations and commercial insights.
- Present category strategies, sourcing recommendations, supplier performance results, and market trends to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate across functions to balance stakeholder needs, supplier capabilities, risk considerations, and enterprise objectives.
People Leadership & Development- Lead, coach, and develop Category Specialists and/or contractors supporting assigned categories.
- Set clear priorities, provide performance coaching and feedback, and build team capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing team environment.
Continuous Improvement- Drive consistent adoption of sourcing methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness, supplier performance, and stakeholder experience.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of Enterprise Sourcing Office capabilities and category management disciplines.
- Leverage approved technologies and AI-enabled solutions to enhance productivity, insights, and decision-making.
I have the following qualifications:- 8-10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, commercial management, or related work.
- Experience managing people, contractors, or workstreams in sourcing, category, or commercial environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and supplier performance management across an assigned portfolio or category.
- Experience using market and spend data to inform category strategies and sourcing decisions.
- Strong understanding of sourcing disciplines, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and governance.
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders to influence sourcing outcomes and improve value.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $159,354-$254,966
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
