Full Job Description
R&S is seeking an elite Key Account Manager based in the San Jose / Bay Area to take ownership of a select, highly strategic portfolio of our most vital "named accounts." The ideal candidate will combine a strong technical background, with confident soft skills, and a hunger to win multi-million dollar deals. As a named-account manager, you will have the backing of nearly 100 years of technology leadership, one of the industry's broadest and highest performance T&M portfolios, and local engineering, calibration and service teams.

Your tasks

  • Take charge - Grow your accounts, be self-motivated, competitive, and strive to take market share
  • Take responsibility - Follow up, stay organized, and constantly earn the trust of your customers and colleagues.
  • Communicate - Keep management up to date using your CRM tools so they don't need to ask you for updates. Maintain notes, account management organization, and funnel hygiene. Be honest about your sales forecast and ask for help when you need it.
  • Collaborate and Support - Work with your team, share winning strategies and pitfalls alike, and leverage technology experts from our Munich HQ.
  • Advocate for your customers - You're the customer's advocate within R&S. Use your available resources to give them the best support R&S can offer.
  • Continual learning - Always improve your technical and portfolio knowledge, and sales skills. Strive to grow in your role, and in your career. Accept guidance, adopt new processes and collaborate on goals

Your qualifications

  • Integrity: Hold yourself to the highest ethical standards, be honest with your team and customers.
  • Technical Knowledge: Have a strong background in electrical engineering, physics, or related field, with fluency in T&M instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, wireless testers, etc) and their applications.
  • Experience: 5+ years managing complex accounts
  • Exceptional Soft Skills: Be comfortable in high level meetings and negotiations. Quickly "read the room."
  • A Strong Sense of Hospitality: Provide customers with exceptional service, support and responsiveness.
  • Competitive Drive: Have a strong desire to compete and win. Earn your customer's trust and make them want to work with you
  • Education: BSEE or similar degree is preferred
  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen or have existing permanent work authorization

The total compensation for this position is $185K-$245K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
