Salary Range: $142,000.00 to $178,000.00

The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range

The Role

The Role

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program office, engineering, planning, project team, and operations management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, cost, and schedule goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project manager analyst, operations management, and external stakeholders.

Oversees and manages K07 technical training and development, structured onboarding and long-term retention (for new hires, summer interns, co-ops, and existing employees), knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and project management (e.g., special projects, strategic partnerships, collaboration operations and engineering), etc.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Nice to Have

Program office experience at the major program level, Microsoft suite experience, Construction and build sequence understanding, Columbia Program experience. Project management experience.
