Job Description
Junior Visual Designer

Thresh Consulting - Strategy in Action for the AI Era

Salary: $70,000-$100,000 + up to 15% annual bonus

Location: Hybrid (NYC preferred)

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Junior Visual Designer (or Junior Art Director) is an early-career creative professional responsible for the execution of brand-led design assets across digital and physical touchpoints. This role focuses on graphic design, typography, and visual storytelling-ensuring that every piece of content Thresh produces is aesthetically compelling and aligned with our brand identity. This is a role for a maker who leads with visual craft and brand architecture, with UX and interaction design as secondary strengths.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

BRAND & VISUAL DESIGN
  • Develop and execute high-impact visual assets for sales and pitch decks, as well as client presentations.
  • Design comprehensive brand and marketing collateral across web, social, and print formats.
  • Create engaging client deliverables, including decks, reports, and custom microsites.
  • Support the visual execution of internal Thresh brand work and design systems.

CREATIVE COLLABORATION
  • Collaborate with Senior Art Directors to translate strategic concepts into visual executions.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute fresh aesthetic perspectives.
  • Partner with Thresh stakeholders to create branded internal and external communications.

Experience and Skills
WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate an exceptional brand and identity sensibility. Your portfolio should showcase a clear point of view on brand systems, typography, color, and visual language-not merely clean layouts.

Strong candidates will demonstrate:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience (agency, in-house brand team, or studio environment).
  • A portfolio that leads with brand, identity, and editorial work.
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Ability to take a brief, develop visual concepts, and iterate based on creative direction.
  • Exceptional attention to visual detail and a passion for modern design trends.

WHY THRESH
  • Competitive salary with performance bonus.
  • Healthcare benefits and 401(k) with company match.
  • Competitive PTO + Holidays.
  • Hands-on mentorship from experienced creative leaders.
  • A supportive, low-ego culture focused on craft and growth.
