    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help deliver the next MVP for a critical airline technology initiative. You will design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions while providing technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. You must be comfortable navigating a complex business domain, working with minimal direction, and contributing directly to application design, coding, testing, and production support.

    Required:

    • At least nine years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale software solutions in production environments.
    • At least five years of hands-on experience with the core technologies listed below.
    • Strong experience developing modern web applications and APIs.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.
    • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale production applications using Angular, Node.js, and MongoDB.
    • Lead the implementation of significant capabilities within existing systems.
    • Develop well-tested, maintainable code and document technical deliverables according to organizational standards.
    • Translate complex, interconnected designs into implementations that can be built and maintained by other engineers.
    • Define automated test suites and application instrumentation to meet production latency, reliability, and availability targets.
    • Identify potential trouble areas during development and establish appropriate observability, monitoring, and support practices.
    • Conduct root-cause analyses and recommend corrective actions for system- and domain-level problems.
    • Improve application reliability, resiliency, security, scalability, and performance.
    • Evaluate potential attack surfaces, guide the implementation of security best practices, and prioritize the remediation of vulnerabilities.
    • Break initiatives into small, high-value increments that can be delivered quickly.
    • Promote reusable components, services, patterns, and engineering practices across teams.
    • Mentor engineers and help team members develop their technical skills.
    • Identify and introduce new tools, techniques, and approaches that improve engineering outcomes.
    Collaborate with product, architecture, quality assurance, security, and other technology teams.
