NTT DATA's Client is currently seeking a Java Developer to join their team in Irving, TX
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications
- Work with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot to build scalable services
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and UI developers
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
- Work with relational databases to design and optimize queries
- Support application deployment and troubleshooting in lower environments
- Adhere to secure coding practices and quality standards
Skills Required- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above)
- Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- Good understanding of OOP concepts, data structures, and design patterns
- Experience in developing RESTful web services
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate / JPA
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
Tools & Technologies- Build tools: Maven or Gradle
- IDEs: IntelliJ IDEA / Eclipse
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with application servers (Tomcat, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Docker or containerization is an added advantage
Soft Skills- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Nice to HaveExposure to microservices architecture
Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
Basic understanding of front-end technologies (React/Angular) is a bonus
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is
($40-$50/hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
