OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dependable Network Administrator to lead the support and evolution of our enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments. This role requires a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic enterprise environment and brings demonstrated experience taking ownership of critical network operations from diagnosis through resolution.
This individual will play a key role in maintaining uptime, responding to incidents, and ensuring the stability and security of core network services across multiple locations and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating under pressure, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively.
This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to support business-critical systems and respond to incidents as needed.
ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilitiesAzure & Hybrid Networking- Design, implement, and support Azure networking solutions, including:
- VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs
- VPN gateways (site-to-site and point-to-site)
- Azure Firewall, load balancers, public/private endpoints
- Maintain and optimize hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues between cloud workloads, on-prem systems, and external services.
- Support cloud migration efforts and ensure network readiness for new workloads.
Incident Response & On-Call Support- Respond to and resolve production-impacting incidents outside standard business hours.
- Act decisively during outages, balancing speed and risk to restore service.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work effectively under pressure while balancing competing priorities and time-sensitive issues.
Security & Operational Hardening- Implement and maintain secure network architectures, including:
- Firewall rule management
- Network segmentation and VLAN strategy
- Secure remote access
- Partner with security teams on:
- Threat detection and response
- Vulnerability remediation
- Compliance initiatives
- Ensure adherence to best practices in network security, Zero Trust principles, and least privilege access.
- Support modern secure access approaches, including SASE/SSE concepts and related Zero Trust network access capabilities.
Infrastructure & Core Services- Support and maintain core network services:
- DNS, DHCP, IP address management
- Ensure reliability of identity-driven connectivity (e.g., AD, Entra ID, authentication flows).
- Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and visibility across network environments.
- Leverage automation, scripting, monitoring platforms, and AI-assisted troubleshooting where appropriate to improve network operations, documentation, incident response, and service reliability.
- Develop and maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and runbooks.
Project Execution & Continuous Improvement- Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects such as:
- Network redesigns and optimization
- Hardware lifecycle management
- Site deployments and expansions
- Cloud adoption initiatives
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to modernize the network environment.
- Manage and coordinate with key vendors and service providers, including ISPs, MSPs, firewall vendors, Microsoft, and other network technology partners.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- 5 years of hands-on experience in network administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Routing and switching
- VLANs and subnetting
- DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Firewall and VPN technologies
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered network issues under pressure.
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems with high availability requirements.
- Working knowledge of automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Bicep, or other infrastructure-as-code approaches.
- Familiarity with SASE/SSE technologies or concepts, such as Zscaler, cloud proxy, secure web gateway, private access, or comparable secure access platforms.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of issues from identification through resolution.
