Duties

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and documentation for agency-wide IT projects.
  • Build strong working relationships with SMEs and technical teams to ensure solutions meet user needs.
  • Analyze and improve business processes and workflows.
  • Create clear BA artifacts such as functional specs, data flow diagrams, process maps, and user stories.
  • Track requirements through development and QA to ensure compliance and solution accuracy.
  • Support project managers with communication, change analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations that guide project and system design.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
You must meet all the Required Qualifications and Competencies to be considered for this position.   • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or other related field AND four (4) years of relevant Information Technology experience;
    OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience completing projects successfully as an IT Business Analyst and understanding industry standard project management principles and practices.
  • Experience performing the following functions:
    • Consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and /or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment.
    • Leading business analysis for IT projects.
    • Providing customer or technical support in information technology.

Required Competencies:
  • Accustomed to using traditional BA and office productivity tools at a professional level: MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff on a project team.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines while problem-solving
