Position Overview:

Freddie Mac is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Asset Management (ITAM) professional to support the end-to-end lifecycle management of IT hardware assets across the enterprise. This role emphasizes strong governance, accurate asset tracking, and disciplined documentation practices to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with IT asset lifecycle processes and demonstrate proficiency in maintaining structured documentation repositories using SharePoint, enabling consistent knowledge sharing, process transparency, and continuous improvement across the ITAM function.

Your Impact:

As an IT Asset Management Professional, you will:
  • Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of IT hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, smart conferencing equipment, and approved peripherals
  • Maintain accurate and complete asset records in the system of record (ServiceNow), ensuring data correctness and audit readiness
  • Develop, maintain, and organize ITAM process documentation, SOPs, and standards using SharePoint, ensuring version control, accessibility, and consistency
  • Coordinate procurement, deployment, refresh, retrieval, and disposal activities in accordance with enterprise policies and security requirements
  • Perform inventory audits, reconciliations, and exception remediation, documenting findings and corrective actions clearly
  • Contribute to asset reporting, metrics, and governance materials, ensuring documentation is current and review-ready
  • Identify opportunities to improve documentation quality, automation, and process clarity to strengthen control frameworks and operational efficiency

  • Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, governance, and risk controls

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or maintaining process documentation and SOPs, preferably using SharePoint
  • Ability to physically handle and move IT equipment, including lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed during deployment, retrieval, and inventory processes, with or without reasonable accommodation

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $77,000 - $115,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
