JOB SUMMARY

ISSM is responsible for overseeing and managing the security of an organization's stand-alone information systems, commercial and squadron developed networks, as well as collected data. This includes, with the assistance of the ISSO, developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and controls, as well as conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security testing. The ISSM works closely with primarily the ISSO, as well as other security professionals and IT staff, to ensure that the organization's information systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with relevant laws, DoD regulations, and industry standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Level 4 - This skill level requires over 10 years of experience and a master's degree in the applicable discipline. This skill level typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. This skill level may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S TOP SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE? (Pertains to Technical Services positions)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
