We9re currently looking for an
Intermediate Interior Designer to join our Toronto studio. As a successful candidate, you have a keen eye for design, push the boundaries, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
How you9ll make a difference:- Work with the interior design, architecture and engineering team to develop design solutions that are unique to each of our integrated projects
>
- Communicate and coordinate required design through engagement and programming, concept/schematic design phases, space planning development, technical drawings and detailing from early conceptual stages through to final completion
>
- Responsible for selection and specification of furniture, finishes, equipment, and accessories; and preparation of FF+E documents
>
- Contribute and prepare presentations for internal and external meetings - render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
>
- Manages client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
>
- Assist with establishing and maintaining project budgeting and scheduling
>
- Coordinate and/or undertake the preparation of required project documents, minutes, schedules and specifications
>
- Apply building code and construction regulations
>
- Attend on-site visits and field reviews and direct contractors and vendors as required
>
- Coordinate and/or undertake site deficiency review and installation inspections
>
Who you are:- 5-10 years of experience in Interior Design consulting with strong knowledge, creativity and experience of the design process
>
- Bachelor9s degree in interior design or related field (NCIDQ an asset)
>
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks, Photoshop and InDesign (Sketch-up, Rhino experience an asset)
>
- Excellent communication skills, team oriented, accountable, and highly motivated
>
- Proven experience in participating in client engagement processes from programming and conceptual design through to construction phases
>
- Experience and passion for working on conceptual and innovative projects in the workplace, aviation, transportation or hospitality design sector is an asset
>
- A design enthusiast, where youcantranslate concepts into uniquely experiential and functional design solutions
>
- A high achiever with a desire to grow and learn both personally and professionally
>
$72,000 - $90,000 a year
