Our dynamic and collaborative team is looking for an Intermediate Bridge Engineer to join our Vancouver office in British Columbia. What You'll Do
  • Contribute to the design and analysis of structural projects, with a primary focus on bridges and retaining walls, while also gaining exposure to the design of marine and other specialized structures.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver projects on time and on budget, ensuring adherence to internal quality standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct inspections, assessments, and construction supervision on structural engineering projects.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus or demonstrated interest in structural engineering.
  • 3-8 years of experience in bridge design and analysis.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia, or eligible to obtain P.Eng. registration within 12 months of hire.
  • Proven experience applying relevant local and national design codes; familiarity with BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure standards is an asset.
  • Knowledge of seismic design principles and performance-based engineering; a Master's degree in structural engineering is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and professionally.

What Can We Offer You?

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual's education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
