Full Job Description
How you'll make a difference:

  • Support and participate in start-up meetings and regular construction meetings with contractors and owners
  • Liaise with the project team, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders during the construction phase
  • Conduct site reviews for general conformance with contract documents, escalating issues as needed
  • Monitor contract progress and assist in the review and validation of progress claims
  • Respond to RFIs and provide timely input to support issue resolution, engaging senior team members as required
  • Support the preparation of contract change documentation (CD/PCN/CO), including coordinating and assembling inputs from the multi-disciplinary team
  • Assist in managing contract communication (RFIs, SIs, CCNs, submittals, etc.)
  • Provide impartial input to support resolution of conflicts or negotiations
  • Assist in the review of project close-out documentation (O&M manuals, as-builts, etc.)


Who you are:

  • 5-9 years of experience in Contract Administration, construction coordination, or related field
  • Working knowledge of building codes and construction procedures
  • Developing knowledge of procurement, standard construction contracts (CCDC 2, CCDC 5A/5B, etc.) and contract administration processes, including changes, claims, and delays
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Able to manage competing priorities and maintain responsiveness in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Able to travel to project sites, including occasional short-duration trips to locations outside the Calgary area.


You'll stand out with:

  • Direct involvement in CA-phase delivery
  • Experience with field reviews and site documentation processes (RFI/SI)
  • Familiarity with contract change procedures (PCN, CO, CD, etc) and cost/schedule implications.
  • Experience in progress payment certification and contractor invoice review
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (Building Codes, lien legislation, basic contract law principles)
  • Knowledge of building construction systems and assemblies, including how components are sequenced and installed in the field (foundations, structure, envelope, walls, finished, etc.)
  • Experience with construction management software platforms (Onware, Procore, Prolog, BIM 360, etc.)
  • Building science exposure, including materials and construction methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Background in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or related field, including Revit experience
  • Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) with CSC
