Full Job Description
The Intelligence Operations Support Officer (IOSO) will provide the Director, Branch managers, nuclear intelligence analysts, and staff at national laboratories with technical program coordination and knowledge management, including the review of program requirements and preparing, integrating, and disseminating mission materials. In support of foreign liaison requirements, the IOSO will assist with special security requirements, assist government personnel with the execution of M&O contract development, administer the Division foreign liaison functions, managing foreign travel for the division, produce metric reports, and other ad hoc intelligence support requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

The incumbent in this position shall support the management, analysts, and staff at DOE headquarters and national laboratories with technical program coordination and knowledge management, including the review of program requirements and support to the federal and technical staff in preparing, integrating, and disseminating mission materials. Specific duties include:
  • Monitoring functionality and developing solutions for tracking and monitoring national laboratories funded projects and production rates.
  • Enhancing division knowledge management through coordinating improved SOPs for shared drive and database management and ensuring the SOPs are executed.
  • Overseeing enrollment of Intelligence Community personnel in training courses offered by the Division, and support to planning for future year training classes.
  • Coordinating development and execution of M&O contract support agreements for Laboratory personnel to support DOE-IN at HQs, including verification of duties, roles, and responsibilities in accordance with appropriate statement of work.
  • Interacting with multiple Front Offices to ensure Division requirements are communicated across DOE-IN and the broader Department.
  • Overseeing and implementing procedures for the security processing of foreign visits and travel, including special security requirements and national laboratory visitation procedures.
  • Preparing and disseminating consolidated monthly and quarterly budget reports from the national laboratories and their oversight offices, to include analysis of spend rates and flagging potential anomalies or concerns.
  • Interacting with budget representatives and Field Intelligence Element Directors, Division Director and Branch Chiefs to resolve budgetary concerns and discrepancies for multi-million dollar projects.
  • Proactively overseeing and making improvements and updates to the Division website, including functionality of IT tools for issue tracking and mission support, and output.


Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in within the U.S. Government intelligence/counterintelligence community. (Note: Contractors with more than 5 years of experience may have a combination of public sector and private experience. Experience requirements can be waived if person possesses knowledge or skill sets unique to the respective facility that lends itself to intelligence support).
• Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, planning and organizational skills, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in common computer and network applications, including strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Microsoft Excel) is required. Experience with project management and issue tracking tools is highly desirable.
  • Position requires applicant to have earned a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college; fields such as national security, accounting, law, or international relations are desirable.


Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in fields such as national security, accounting, law, or international relations is desirable.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
