Full Job Description
Anduril is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer, specializing in Support System Testing to join the Omen team at our Costa Mesa HQ. Omen is Anduril's hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV) that packs the endurance, payload, and mission flexibility of much larger airplanes into a novel runway-independent Group 3 platform. Omen can operate from ship decks, beaches, or remote island clearings, providing true runway independence and freedom of maneuver across defense and civilian domains. Omen is the first tail-sitter aircraft with a mass-production contract, with an order of 50 systems representing a decisive investment that anchors production and accelerates the development of future systems.

You will lead test planning and execution for the development and demonstration of Support System Ground Servicing Equipment (GSE), including launch and recovery systems, storage and transportation equipment, fueling and charging accessories and Mission System handling devices. All of this in a lean, high-ownership culture where you directly shape the product and operate at a velocity to fly new designs within months, not years.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own all Support System test activities right from hardware evaluation for down-selection and prototyping of GSE to customer facing demonstration of complete evolved Support Systems
  • Develop, review, and execute right-sized test plans for Support System test activities, efficiently capturing and reporting learnings
  • Use full-scale representative Vehicle System elements and mock-ups to evaluate and evolve Support System equipment and Vehicle System configuration
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures for Support System evolutions across a diverse range of Operational environments (austere to established)
  • Provide robust feedback to Vehicle, Mission and Support System Design Engineering teams as to usability considerations in the field
  • Ensure the safety of all test and demonstration activities through input in to System Safety processes and Operational Safety through structured hazard identification and risk mitigation
  • Coordinate access to land and maritime test environments, including facilities and equipment
  • Implement and maintain processes for configuration control of test assets and installed instrumentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or aviation related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in Aviation, Aerospace or product development/design environments including test and evaluation
  • Background in land and maritime operational environments, performing logistics and maintenance activities for fielded systems
  • Experience with high voltage systems/batteries and/or hybrid powertrains
  • Demonstrated competence in hazard assessment and risk mitigation (MIL-STD-882E and similar)
  • Strong bias for action and extremely high ownership in fast paced environment
  • Trade or Mechanic qualifications considered highly advantageous
  • Defense Industry or Military Service background highly desirable
  • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance in United States, United Kingdom, or Australia
