Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Position Overview

The Shipboard Electronic Repair Facility (SERF) Integrated Product Development Lead (IPTL) leads the cross-functional execution of SERF-related product development, sustainment, modernization, repair capability, and delivery activities. The IPTL is accountable for integrating engineering, program management, operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, field/service personnel, and customer stakeholders to achieve technical, cost, schedule, quality, and customer commitments.

This position serves as the primary leader for the integrated product team, translating program requirements into executable plans; managing technical and execution risks; resolving cross-functional issues; and ensuring deliverables support customer operational needs and program objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate an integrated product team supporting SERF development, modernization, production, sustainment, repair, and/or fielding activities.
  • Establish and maintain integrated plans, schedules, milestones, resource needs, and execution priorities across participating functions.
  • Own execution to approved cost, schedule, technical-performance, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Serve as a principal interface among program management, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, field/service organizations, and customer representatives.
  • Translate customer, contractual, and operational requirements into clear technical and operational work packages, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead technical and program reviews; communicate execution status, risks, opportunities, decisions, and corrective-action at SEIT meetings.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, supply-chain, manufacturing, quality, obsolescence, repairability, and schedule risks.
  • Drive issue resolution across functional boundaries, escalating decisions or barriers as appropriate.
  • Support proposal development, basis-of-estimate inputs, staffing/resource planning, make/buy decisions, and program planning activities as assigned.
  • Ensure product and repair-facility activities are executed in accordance with applicable engineering, quality, configuration-management, safety, cybersecurity, export-control, contractual, and customer requirements.
  • Promote disciplined execution, continuous improvement, lessons learned, and metrics-based management across the SERF product team.
  • Support customer engagements, program reviews, site visits, demonstrations, and readiness assessments as required.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, technical management, operations, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered where permitted.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical, product, program, manufacturing, sustainment, repair, or modernization efforts.
  • Experience managing or influencing cost, schedule, technical performance, risks, and deliverables in a complex program environment.
  • Strong understanding of integrated product development principles and lifecycle execution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel, program leadership, operations teams, suppliers, customers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment supporting U.S. Government and/or defense customers, consistent with applicable eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, program management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting naval, maritime, shipboard, depot, repair-facility, or electronic-system sustainment programs.
  • Experience with electronics repair, test, troubleshooting, production, integration, field support, logistics, or lifecycle sustainment.
  • Experience leading product teams supporting complex electronic, mission-system, communications, computing, or embedded-system products.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, quality management, supply-chain coordination, material planning, and production/repair operations.
  • Program management certification or relevant technical/project-management certification.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing reviews and managing subcontractor or supplier performance.
  • Active security clearance,
