This role is in support of Securos Surgical, a Cencora business offering veterinary orthopedicand surgical products and services globally.


The private label Product Manager position will own and manage assigned service offerings and product lines with the objective of increasing market share, growing sales revenue, improving margins, etc. This position will lead and perform complex competitive market analyses to provide guidance on product direction(s) and pricing strategies. This position will also perform product management actions including; sourcing & identifying approved product vendors/manufacturers, establishing pricing, ensuring high quality standards, risk management/mitigation, inventory tracking & forecasting, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:


The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Take ownership and manager assigned product line(s) and service offering(s) including but not exclusively; Securos Surgical/VetOne branded instruments and Vetrilogix medical & diagnostic equipment.
  • This role is responsible for building the new private label Vetrilogix brand, expanding the product and service portfolio, and launching into the marketplace.
  • Creates and maintains product database to include competitive equivalents, warranties, and pricing data.
  • Performs complex competitive product & market analyses to assess current & future market position. Provides guidance and recommendations on future product tactics and strategies.
  • Generates reporting metrics to track and forecast product line costs and associated pricing requirements needed to meet business objectives.
  • Prepares and presents monthly product line updates and forecasts to internal stakeholders.
  • Creates and conducts on-going internal and external product training.
  • Serves as point of escalation for highly technical questions from customers (internal and external) regarding complex products and services.
  • Builds and maintains vendor/manufacturer relationships to include contract/pricing/supply chain negotiation, product changes/enhancements, product issue resolution, product development, and new product pipeline/market opportunities.
  • Serves as a liaison and knowledge resource between MWI sales teams and applicable product/service line.
  • Collaborates with Securos marketing team to develop and/or enhance marketing materials for assigned product/service line(s).
  • Creates and drives a product line marketing plan that aligns with business strategies.
  • Attracts and attains new customers via tradeshows, events, outbound calls, site visits, product training, promotions, etc.
  • Attends tradeshows as a representative of Securos Surgical and/or VetriLogix to promote and educate audiences of product/service lines and other business objectives.
  • Conducts customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Ability to travel (e.g. trade shows, regional sales meetings, internal meetings, vendor site visits, and ride along with reps).

  • 3+ years in medical device, medical equipment, or diagnostic equipment sales or product management.
  • Experience with competitive market analysis.
  • Certification in product management, agile or scrum product ownership, or project management preferred.

Minimum Skill, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • A proven ability to identify creative solutions to difficult problems.
  • Keen attention to detail and process.
  • Microsoft Office experience including proficiency using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Salary Range*

$73,600 - 147,290

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/NewYork/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
