Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Services Inside Sales Manager

An Inside Sales Specialist plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable multitasking and interacting directly with ABB Customers. You will build relationships internally with the Operations Teams, Commercial Proposal Managers, Sales Managers and Administrators. You will also rely on and work with Channel Partners and Manufacturers' Representatives. You should be comfortable being the key point of contact for many customers that have immediate urgent needs. A certain level of technical knowledge of electrical products and services will be expected. An ability to learn processes quickly and think creatively will be necessary to add value to customers. This position operates in a dynamic environment where it is imperative to be able to organize, prioritize and have confidence to respond.

The work model for the role is: Remote - California

Your Responsibilities:
  • Build strong customer relationships by understanding needs, providing responsive support, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Support the sales process through lead follow-up, opportunity qualification, quotations, proposals, and order management.
  • Develop standard and configured-to-order proposals, coordinating pricing and technical requirements with factory, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Drive opportunities through the sales cycle, supporting order closure, customer account setup, and seamless handoff to operations.
  • Partner across sales and ABB organizations to strengthen relationships, share market and competitor insights, and support sales targets.


Your Background
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and 2 years minimum relevant work experience, or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in proposal or quote development, sales support, or order administration strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred.
  • Previous experience with business-to-business customer support preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline preferred.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually.
