The Role:

We are looking for a well-rounded Digital Innovation Software Engineer to help build practical software solutions that improve how work gets done across plant and business operations. This role blends software engineering, workflow automation, data analytics, and applied AI to solve real problems, streamline processes, and create tools that make teams more effective.

The person in this role will work closely with business partners, operations teams, and technical teammates to understand pain points, design scalable solutions, and deliver high-quality software that drives measurable impact. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys turning ideas into working products and using technology to simplify complex work.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Design, build, test, and maintain internal applications and digital tools that improve business and operational workflows.
  • Develop workflow automations that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate turnaround time.
  • Create data-driven solutions that help teams monitor performance, identify trends, and make better decisions.
  • Apply AI and analytics capabilities where they provide clear business value, including summarization, pattern detection, prediction, or process support.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate needs into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using standard engineering practices.
  • Support solution deployment, troubleshooting, enhancement, and continuous improvement after launch.
  • Build dashboards, reports, or lightweight interfaces that make information easier to access and act on.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and technical design discussions.
  • Contribute ideas that improve engineering practices, delivery speed, and overall solution quality.


Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications or automation solutions.
  • Proficiency in at least one back end modern programming language such as Python, SQL, or C#.
  • Proficiency in at least one front end modern programming language such as Visual Basic, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Experience working with APIs, data integration, PLC, or system-to-system connectivity.
  • Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data transformation concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $98,300.00 - $150,700.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
