Full Job Description
THE WORK:

  • You'll build and maintain strong relationships with clients to pre-position for new work, RFPs, RFQs and ensure that all contractual requirements are met. Provide regular updates on project status, manage client expectations, and explore opportunities for repeat business or new project opportunities.
  • You'll lead the Business development efforts including writing proposals for water and wastewater pursuits including building high value relations with our existing and target Strategic Clients.
  • You'll provide ongoing support to staff during all phases of a project, including pre-design, procurement, construction, and post-construction activities for water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities encompass cost management, schedule management, quality control, and document control in compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • You'll oversee the coordination of all project activities on construction project sites, ensuring full compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, including PPE usage and site-specific safety protocols. Ensure that the team adheres to safety guidelines to promote a hazard-free work environment.
  • You'll maintain clear and regular communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders through emails, meetings, and reports. Ensure accurate documentation and timely distribution of project correspondence, progress updates, and resolution of issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • You'll manage the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of project activities to meet established deadlines. Ensure that project goals are achieved within approved budgets, covering labor, expenses, and timeframes.
  • You'll administer contracts for design and construction firms, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. Act as the owner's representative to address any changes or issues promptly, maintaining contract integrity and ensuring the successful completion of projects in line with defined expectations.
  • You'll supervise and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, and other staff, promoting diversity in recruitment and retention practices. Encourage leadership opportunities for underrepresented groups in the construction industry.
  • You'll assign and delegate tasks to project staff, ensuring that all team members contribute effectively to project success. Monitor workload distribution to ensure that project requirements are met and that team members are supported to achieve high performance in all stages of project execution.
  • You'll track all program and project level status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing and other related contract requirements.
  • You'll measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • You'll manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • You'll identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully.
  • You'll develop recommended actions and assist in resolving disputes relative to design and construction.
  • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or equivalent experience is required
  • 15+ Years of experience providing project/program management services
  • Experience in managing the full construction project life cycle including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews is required
  • Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project related scheduling systems such as MS Project or Primavera are required


BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in maximizing the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred
  • Experience in application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is preferred
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or CCM is preferred


$190,000 - $225,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.
