Full Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in automation, scripting, and deployment engineering. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in reducing operational manual effort, building automation solutions, and supporting both Linux and Windows environments.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k - CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and playbooks to streamline infrastructure and deployment activities.
• Work on projects focused on eliminating manual toil and improving operational efficiency.
• Support and automate Linux and Windows based deployments.
• Develop and enhance scripts using Shell scripting and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to automate deployment and operational workflows.
• Assist in managing and improving CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
• Work with teams supporting Java and .NET based applications.
Requirements:
• 3-4 years of experience in infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Strong experience with Shell script and Ansible playbook.
• Proven experience in projects that reduced or eliminated manual operational tasks.
• Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows deployment processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
• Basic understanding of Java and .NET applications and their deployment needs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Preferred, but not required:
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and infrastructure management tools.
• Exposure to AI-enabled productivity or engineering tools like Claude and Mythos.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
