Chipton-Ross is seeking an Information Systems Project Manager 3 for a contract opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- High School diploma and 9 years of experience, Associates degree and 7 years of experience, Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, Master's degree or above and 3 years of experience or PHD and 0 years of experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Bachelor's degree in project management, information technology, business administration, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of applicable project management experience successfully managing enterprise-level IT projects. Experience in heavily regulated industry such as defense or government contracting. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow PPM Module). Expert level knowledge of multiple project management methodologies.
- PMP
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within complex organizational structures involving outsourced partners and managed service providers. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong technical background
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical and executive audiences. o Strong financial acumen and experience with complex budget management.
- Experience in shipbuilding or other manufacturing industry is highly desirable. o Ability to navigate ambiguity with ease while introducing the right level of structure o Experience with Microsoft Planner Premium o AI Literacy:
- Demonstrable experience with AI-powered project management tools for predictive scheduling, resource optimization, or advanced risk analysis.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts as they apply to the project management domain and IT operations.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURSFull-Time 5/40, workweek.
