Position Summary
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We are seeking an Information Process Engineer to support the assessment and optimization of a Federal Healthcare Agency's organizational structure, programs, processes, and knowledge management practices. This role brings a technology and knowledge management lens to the project by evaluating how current systems and infrastructure support "to-be" processes, contributing to technology recommendations, and supporting the development of requirements and transition plans. The Information Process Engineer will also assist with process re-engineering, implementation planning, and post-implementation program evaluation when knowledge management or IT systems are in scope.
We are seeking an engineer or analyst who combines knowledge management experience, business process fluency, and digital transformation familiarity. Candidates should be comfortable supporting assessments of federal IT and collaboration platforms and translating findings into practical requirements, recommendations, and transition planning inputs.

Knowledge Management & IT Systems Assessment
  • Support assessments of client knowledge management practices and supporting IT systems, including how they enable access to work products, decisions, and historical documentation throughout their lifecycle
  • Identify and document major repositories, collaboration platforms, and document management systems in use across the assessed organizational footprint
  • Provide input into process re-engineering, implementation planning, and post-implementation program evaluation activities, when applicable

Technology Recommendations & Requirements Development
  • Support recommendations to better utilize the client's current IT stack in support of "to-be" re-engineered processes
  • Contribute to future IT and technology enhancement recommendations that support the agency's organizational and process improvement goals
  • Develop requirements and transition plans for recommended technology and knowledge management improvements

Implementation Support
  • Support implementation planning by identifying technology-related dependencies, risks, and sequencing considerations
  • Execute implementation efforts using Agile practices
  • Coordinate with other HHS stakeholders focused on technology to ensure redesign efforts align with subagency systems, initiatives, and data management modernization priorities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Information Systems, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in knowledge management, information systems, digital transformation, or business process engineering
  • Demonstrated experience assessing IT systems/knowledge management infrastructure and developing technology recommendations in a federal agency context
  • Experience developing system/technology requirements and transition plans
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain public trust.

Preferred Qualification
  • Prior experience with HHS or another federal regulatory/health agency
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP)
  • Experience with federal knowledge management platforms and document management systems
  • Experience supporting IT modernization or data management modernization initiatives

The posted salary range is the company's good-faith estimate for this role. PFS benefits and compensation are determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, location; the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience; as well as contract and organizational requirements.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000
