Implementation and Support Engineer

Rockville, MD (Hybrid Preferred)

PTFS is seeking an Implementation and Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with customers to deliver, configure, and support our Knowvation platform. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in customer-facing environments, has a strong technical foundation, and enjoys collaborating with both end users and developers to ensure successful deployments and ongoing system performance.

Responsibilities:

Implementation:

  • Collaborate with customers to define Knowvation configurations tailored to their needs
  • Map customer data and metadata for ingestion into Knowvation
  • Deploy and configure Knowvation systems across varied environments


Support:

  • Respond to and resolve customer support tickets in a timely manner
  • Apply patches and updates to systems to address security vulnerabilities
  • Identify, document, and escalate bugs and feature requests for the development team


Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Ability to discover customer use cases and requirements
  • Ability to run backups, imports, and queries in SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Basic familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, and RDS)
  • Knowledge of ETL processes


Preferred Qualifications

  • Active security clearance
  • Experience with Solr
  • Experience automating application configuration and deployment on Windows
  • Experience delivering end-user application training
  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation and user guides
