Job Description:

The Project Excellence Office (PEO) Senior Manager is accountable for defining, governing, and continuously evolving the PMXi project management framework across IMO Tech Blueprint and Data & Analytics programs.

This role acts as the subject matter expert for project management excellence, ensuring alignment with PMXi and iPLC while enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient delivery of technology and data initiatives.

The role drives standardization, tool integration, and continuous improvement to maximize first-time successful delivery aligned with Mars policies, standards, and IT controls.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Lifecycle Governance & Alignment
  • Define and continually evolve the PMXi project management framework across IMO Tech Blueprint and Data & Analytics initiatives
  • Ensure lifecycle processes, governance deliverables, and gate criteria are harmonized across function-led and tech-led initiatives
  • Collaborate with IMO governance bodies and stakeholders to maintain consistent evolution and adoption of frameworks

Compliance, Risk & Assurance
  • Ensure lifecycle processes are fully aligned with Mars policies, standards, and IT General Controls (ITGC)
  • Define and monitor KPIs and compliance metrics enabling portfolios to assess adherence to governance requirements
  • Implement assurance mechanisms (e.g., self-attestation, compliance reporting) to strengthen governance discipline and audit readiness

Tooling Strategy & End-to-End Visibility
  • Define and implement an integrated tooling strategy to enable end-to-end visibility, tracking, and governance compliance across the project lifecycle
  • Ensure seamless integration across tools (e.g., ServiceNow, reporting platforms) to support real-time project performance, risks, and status tracking
  • Act as Product Owner for PMXi tooling, including requirement definition, prioritization, delivery oversight, and testing coordination

Future-State Delivery Model Enablement
  • Adapt lifecycle frameworks, governance models, and processes to support evolving delivery models for Tech Blueprint and Data & Analytics (e.g., product-based delivery, agile/hybrid approaches)
  • Ensure processes remain flexible while maintaining governance rigor, auditability, and control


Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish a structured continuous improvement capability across end-to-end PMXi framework to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements
  • Partner with "hook" teams (e.g., MGS DT, Finance, Risk, Security) to ensure cross-functional standards and requirements are embedded in processes

Knowledge Management & Capability Building
  • Define, develop, and maintain training materials, playbooks, and onboarding content for project teams
  • Deliver targeted training programs and facilitate communities of practice to drive adoption of standards and best practices

Education & Professional Requirements
  • Deep expertise in project lifecycle governance, PMO operations, and process excellence
  • Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, PMI, PRINCE2)
  • Experience defining and deploying global standards across complex, cross-functional environments
  • Proven track record in tooling strategy and product ownership (e.g., ServiceNow, PowerBI Platform, etc.)
  • Experience in compliance, audit, and IT control environments

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
