Full Job Description
Job Description:

The IMO Tech Integrated Planning Lead is responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining the end-to-end integrated technology plan, controls, and dependencies across global functions and regions for the Tech Blueprint integration. Acting as a central orchestrator of program timelines, this role ensures that project schedules, resource allocations, demand intakes, and forecasts are accurately modeled, tracked, and validated.

As part of one of the largest and most complex business transformations in Mars Snacking history, this role helps create structure, connectivity, and consistency across projects and programs at scale. Operating within a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment, the role enables cross-functional coordination, communications flow, leadership rhythms, and organizational visibility to help teams remain aligned, informed, and positioned to execute effectively.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and structured professional who thrives on bringing order to complex, fast-paced integration programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program planning and controls, with a proactive approach to reporting dependencies, constraints, and risks.

This role requires strong collaboration skills to work across matrixed global/regional teams, bridging technical plans with executive-level strategy. You will need advanced analytical and data synthesis capabilities, with deep familiarity in managing digital portfolios using tools like ServiceNow, Smartsheets, PowerBI, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.

The successful candidate will act as a connective layer across the broader Tech Blueprint ecosystem, helping improve visibility and organizational cohesion while supporting program and project managers in driving integrated execution across the Mars and Kellanova integration journey.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integrated Plan & Controls Setup
  • Finalize the Integrated Plan Baseline: Refine and implement planning standards, baselines, and scheduling methodologies across the Tech Blueprint ecosystem.
  • Formalize the Demand Intake Process: Define, establish, and institutionalize a formalized demand intake process for the global integration plan, leveraging central tools such as ServiceNow to manage new project requests and stage-gate approvals.
  • Define Program Controls: Set up planning governance, schedule health checks, and change control procedures to maintain the integrity of the 3 year roadmap.

2. Plan Refresh, Forecasting & Quality Assurance
  • Orchestrate Quarterly Refreshes: Lead the recurring, structured refresh of the integrated plan across all designated functions and regions, aligning timelines to key business phases, IMO program milestones, and constraints.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) Integration: Execute rigorous quality assurance checks of project timelines, critical paths, and cost estimates to ensure high-fidelity data and feasibility.
  • Perform Program Re-forecasting: Update and adjust the master integration schedule and forecast based on actual execution progress, resource capacity, and approved change controls.

3. Dependency Management & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Manage Dependencies & Constraints: Identify, catalog, and track cross-program, cross-regional, and cross-functional dependencies. Map critical constraints and unresolved Key Decision Documents (KDDs) for critical programs and projects.
  • Reconcile Regional and Functional Plans: Analyze planning data to pinpoint gaps, timing misalignments, or resource bottlenecks, reconciling functional delivery plans with regional deployment schedules.
  • Support Executive Status Syntheses: Package complex dependency data, schedule changes, and re-forecast impacts into clear, high-quality executive briefings and PowerPoint presentations for IMO leadership.

RACI Matrix Alignment

In this role, your responsibility boundaries are defined as follows:
  • Accountable & Responsible (A/R): Finalizing the Integrated Plan baseline; designing, establishing, and formalizing the demand intake process; maintaining the master integrated planning schedule and controls.
  • Responsible (R): Executing the quarterly/recurring plan refreshes; performing timeline and cost quality assurance; compiling the dependency and KDD registers; tracking and updating re-forecasts based on approved change controls.
  • Consulted (C): Alignment of specific regional/functional schedules with the master plan; central ServiceNow dashboard configuration; escalation of critical path schedule conflicts.
  • Informed (I): Daily execution-level task tracking; business-as-usual project activities; regional delivery-level resource allocation changes.

Context and Scope

The IMO Tech Integrated Planning Lead operates within the central Integration Management Office (IMO), reporting directly to the IMO Tech Global Functions Integration Lead. The position collaborates daily with Functional & Regional Portfolio Leads (Navigators), Functional and Regional Co-Pilots, Program Managers and Project Managers.

The primary challenge of this role is synthesizing multi-million-dollar, highly interdependent technology plans across various business lines into a single, cohesive, and actionable master program schedule, helping Mars Snacking navigate its integration journey without disrupting daily business activities.

Education & Professional Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PMI-SP, Prince2, or Agile) is highly desirable.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in PMO coordination, project controls, program scheduling, or portfolio management within a large global enterprise (FMCG experience is a distinct advantage).

Technical & System Knowledge:
  • Advanced Excel: Expert data modelling, schedule integration, tracking sheets, pivot tables, and data analysis formulas.
  • Portfolio Management Tools: Advanced capability in ServiceNow (PPM modules) for managing plan intake and tracking.
  • Presentation & Collaboration Tools: Strong proficiency in PowerPoint (for synthesizing complex timelines), Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Copilot/AI utilities.

Analytical Skills: Proven ability to perform schedule-risk analyses, critical path modelling, and financial estimate QA.

Communication & Synthesis: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to distil complex schedules and multi-layered dependencies into simple, executive-ready dashboards.
