Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced people manager and leader to support GEOSPI-A-006 as a Team Lead. Candidate must be a current employee supporting the GEOSPI-A-006 contract as this is an additional duty, not an open position hiring external candidates. Candidate must be able to balance management responsibilities with other technical instruction job duties. Team Lead duties include: managing personnel as a servant leader, helping to grow employees as professionals, providing regular feedback to employees to support their growth; working with the Project Manager to remove impediments from analysts being able to work; working to retain personnel; acting as a liaison between onsite analysts and senior management; reporting onsite activities to the Project Manager weekly; and enforcing BAE Systems corporate policy, among other responsibilities. A successful Team Lead will work as both an employee advocate and effective BAE Systems leader.

Required Skills and Education

  • Must be a current employee GEOSPI-A-006
  • Must have some knowledge of BAE Systems corporate policy
  • Must be available after work hours to provide weekly reports as needed, ensure timesheet and other deadline requirements (e.g. mandatory training, PDRs), and to communicate with employees and the Project Manager as needed
  • Has proven work as a respected, high-performing instructor on GEOSPI-A-006
  • Can prioritize and solve routine tasks, positively impact customer and team relations
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite: MS Word & MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and business writing skills
