Full Job Description
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst III is responsible for supporting and enhancing the organization's identity governance, authentication, authorization, and access management processes. This role serves as a senior individual contributor within the IAM program, partnering with Information Security, Infrastructure, HR, Audit, and business stakeholders to ensure secure and efficient access management practices across enterprise systems. The Analyst III assists in implementing IAM solutions, managing access lifecycle processes, supporting compliance initiatives, and driving operational improvements that strengthen the organization's security posture while providing an exceptional user experience. Key Responsibilities IAM Operations & Administration • Administer and support IAM platforms and related technologies, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Identity Governance Administration (IGA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM). • Execute user provisioning, role modifications, and deprovisioning activities in accordance with established policies and SLAs. • Troubleshoot identity-related issues and partner with internal teams to resolve access incidents and service requests. • Monitor IAM systems and workflows to ensure operational stability and effectiveness. Access Governance • Perform periodic access reviews and user entitlement certifications. • Support role-based access control (RBAC) implementation and maintenance efforts. • Identify inappropriate access assignments and coordinate remediation activities. • Maintain documentation of access management procedures, standards, and controls. Implementation & Process Improvement • Participate in IAM implementation projects and system integrations. • Support onboarding of applications into IAM platforms. • Assist with automation initiatives to improve provisioning efficiency and control effectiveness. • Recommend process improvements based on operational metrics and audit findings. Compliance & Audit Support • Support internal and external audit activities related to identity and access management. • Gather evidence for SOX, ISO 27001, SOC, and other compliance requirements. • Assist in addressing audit findings and tracking remediation activities. Risk Management • Identify access-related risks and security control gaps. • Escalate security concerns and support remediation efforts. • Participate in IAM-related incident investigations and root cause analysis. Technical Skills • Hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, or Ping Identity, including user lifecycle management, access provisioning, deprovisioning, and access governance processes. • Working knowledge of industry-standard authentication and authorization technologies, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, and Kerberos, with experience supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) implementations. • Experience integrating IAM solutions with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, HR systems, SaaS applications, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including application onboarding and access management workflows. • Familiarity with IAM automation and operational efficiency tools, including PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and Okta Workflows, to support provisioning, reporting, and process automation activities. • Solid understanding of IAM security and compliance principles, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Least Privilege, Access Certifications, Segregation of Duties (SoD), and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and SOX. Soft Skills • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational and documentation skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Collaborative approach when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Continuous improvement mindset. Education & Qualifications Required • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience. • 4-6 years of IAM, cybersecurity, systems administration, or related experience. • Experience supporting IAM operations within a medium or large enterprise environment. Preferred Certifications • Okta Certified Professional / Administrator. • Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300). • Security+. • Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM). • CISSP Associate.
