Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to administer, support, and enhance enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ and Ping Identity. This role is responsible for implementing identity governance, managing user lifecycle processes, supporting secure authentication and authorization services, and ensuring compliance with organizational security standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IAM platforms, identity governance, directory services, and enterprise security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer, configure, and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ and Ping Identity platforms.
• Implement and manage identity governance processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, access certifications, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Configure and support user lifecycle management, entitlement management, and access review processes.
• Collaborate with application owners and technical teams to onboard enterprise applications and services into the IAM ecosystem.
• Integrate enterprise applications with IAM platforms using directory services, SSO, MFA, and federation technologies.
• Monitor IAM platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and operational reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related incidents, authentication issues, and access management problems.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages to streamline IAM administration and operational processes.
• Support security audits and compliance initiatives by generating access reports, documentation, and evidence.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IAM standards, procedures, and security best practices.
• Participate in incident response activities involving identity and access security.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to develop solution documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
• Support enterprise system integration initiatives involving IAM platforms and security technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable identity management solutions.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience administering enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or Ping Identity platforms.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including identity governance, provisioning, de-provisioning, entitlement management, role-based access control (RBAC), and access reviews.
• Experience with directory services such as Active Directory and LDAP.
• Experience implementing and supporting Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and federation protocols including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience developing automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience working within enterprise environments supporting complex IAM implementations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to IAM platforms and authentication services.
• Ability to interpret and implement security policies, standards, and governance requirements.
• Experience supporting enterprise system integration initiatives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications
• SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer certification.
• Ping Identity Certified Professional certification.
• Experience implementing enterprise identity governance and administration (IGA) solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL, NIST, or other enterprise security frameworks.
• Experience supporting security audits, compliance initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing technical documentation, operational procedures, and solution implementation guides.
