Job Summary

We are seeking an AWS Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant AWS cloud solutions for enterprise workloads. This role is responsible for defining cloud architecture standards, establishing governance and security best practices, and providing technical leadership across cloud migration, modernization, DevOps, and platform engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing enterprise AWS architectures, implementing cloud governance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective AWS cloud architectures for enterprise workloads.
• Define cloud architecture patterns, reference architectures, landing zones, network topologies, IAM models, and governance standards.
• Design AWS networking solutions utilizing VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, hybrid connectivity, and secure networking principles.
• Architect cloud solutions using AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, KMS, and other core AWS services.
• Collaborate with business, security, engineering, infrastructure, data, and operations teams to translate business requirements into cloud solution architectures.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud migration, application modernization, DevOps enablement, platform engineering, and cloud security initiatives.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical design workshops, risk assessments, and solution governance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define disaster recovery, business continuity, resiliency, and high-availability strategies for cloud platforms.
• Establish cloud governance, security, compliance, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness standards aligned with enterprise best practices.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud architectures with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Develop architecture documentation, technical standards, implementation guides, operational handoff materials, and solution diagrams.
• Mentor engineering teams on AWS architecture best practices, cloud-native design principles, and operational excellence.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AWS services and recommend architecture improvements to enhance security, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 12 years of IT experience, including at least 7 years in cloud architecture, infrastructure architecture, or enterprise solution architecture.
• Strong expertise designing enterprise AWS cloud architectures.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, KMS, and AWS security services.
• Strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud architecture best practices.
• Experience designing AWS landing zones, hybrid cloud connectivity, disaster recovery, resiliency, cloud governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience integrating cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, identity and access management, and governance principles.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate architecture concepts to business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineering teams.
