Location - Chicago ILJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced IBM BPM / IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Platform Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise BPM environments. The role involves platform administration, deployment support, performance tuning, and ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable BPM systems across all environments.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support IBM BPM / IBM BAW environments across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Manage deployments, releases, and migrations of BPM applications and toolkits.
- Design and maintain scalable, highly available platform architecture (clusters, nodes, WAS).
- Monitor system performance and perform tuning (JVM, WebSphere, database).
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide L2/L3 support.
- Support integrations with enterprise systems, web services, and middleware components.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, documentation, and operational best practices.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong hands-on experience with IBM BPM / IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
- Expertise in installation, configuration, and administration of BPM environments.
- Strong knowledge of WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
- Experience managing clusters, nodes, profiles, and JVM tuning.
- Proficiency in performance tuning and environment optimization.
- Strong understanding of database integration and connectivity.
- Experience in deployment automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub, UrbanCode Deploy, etc.).
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP services and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience supporting production-critical enterprise applications.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $100000 - $130000
