Your role
Do you have experience in operation of client risk identification and escalation processes, as well as management of associated documentation, ongoing process improvement, development of sophisticated presentation materials and various governance activities.
We are looking for a Business Risk Expert who will be working in the Business Control Unit (BCU) within the IB COO Business Risk Management Team who will be responsible for :
• Participation in global client risk and reporting processes, including presentation, escalation and tracking to resolution of risk issues
• Provide support for core BCU processes, including governance activities
• Provide ongoing enhancement to the effectiveness and efficiency of BCU processes
• Elements of regulatory and Internal Audit engagement with respect to the BCU program and as a contributor to various related inquiries and exams
• Maintain client risk related documentation to a high standard, satisfactory to internal and external stakeholders
• Proactive identification and execution of new opportunities for the BCU to positively impact client risk management culture and outcomes
• Provide support to help drive ad hoc client escalations to resolution
• Participation in strategic data initiatives of the BCU
Your team
You will be a member of the Business Control unit team as part of the IB BRM/COO organization and will engage with various stakeholders, including senior management, client relationship owners and all first-line and second-line of defense control functions. You will develop subject matter expertise of client risk management, focused on continuous enhancement of client risk management processes and outcomes.
Your expertise
• ideally 2+ years of experience in institutional banking in front office roles and/or relevant control functions
• Deep interest in institutional financial products and markets, including equities, fixed income and financing products, as well as investment banking
• Experience working closely with institutional banking control functions, including Compliance, Credit Risk Management and Operations
• Ability to develop trust and partnership with a broad set of stakeholders
• Passionate about risk management, problem solving, financial markets and business strategy
• Expertise using core business software and applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Proactive in orientation, constantly seeking opportunities to identify and improve risk management processes
