Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist at Shriners Hospitals for Children provides comprehensive HR support, encompassing various functions to ensure a positive and productive work environment. This role is crucial in supporting our mission of providing exceptional care to children.
Key Responsibilities- Coaches/ Counsels and advises management and employees on employee relations issues to create an environment of mutual respect; mediating issues to quick resolutions; exhibits an open, helpful style, welcoming management and employees to approach; ensures visibility throughout the facility.
- Provide expert individual conflict identification and resolution. Act as an internal consultant by assisting and coaching line managers with a variety of human resources issues including performance reviews & feedback, employee relations issues, EEO Reporting; performance management, compensation.
- Facilitates employee understanding of local and corporate HR policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state regulations. Stays current of all laws; provides interpretation and periodic updates to management and staff.
- Maintains timely and accurate employee status and payroll information. Generates PAF changes in Fast Forward; perform monthly reporting review and forward discrepancies to corporate office.
- Performs review of position administration, noting position changes, additions and deletions; ensure timely correction of discrepancies in record; reconciles with the Market HR Director.
Required Qualifications- 3 years of human resources experience
- Computer proficiency and strong sense of confidentiality
- Above average written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- MS Office experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
Preferred Qualifications- 3 years of experience working in a healthcare setting
- 3 to 5 years of HR experience
- HR certification by SHRM or ASHHRA
The pay range for this position is $73,559.20 - $110,350.24. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
