Description

Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering day-to-day human resources functions for a designated Operating Company. This role serves as the HR resource for employees and managers, supports compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws, and partners with the NexCore Human Resources Team to ensure consistent application of corporate policies, procedures, and best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure accurate documentation in accordance with company policy and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, employee benefits, leave programs, and HR procedures.
    • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
    • Administer and maintain employee records within ADP Workforce Now.
    • Process employee status changes including:
      • New hires
      • Promotions
      • Transfers
      • Compensation changes
      • Terminations
      • Organizational changes
    • Ensure employee profile information is accurate, complete, and maintained using standardized data fields established by NexCore.
    • Assist managers and employees with ADP self-service functionality.
    • Troubleshoot HRIS issues and coordinate with NexCore HR and Payroll Technology Support when necessary.
    • Run standard and custom HR reports for management.
    • Assist with payroll preparation by ensuring employee data is accurate and submitted timely.
    • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
    • Prepare and post job advertisements through approved recruiting platforms.
    • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
    • Participate in candidate interviews as appropriate.
    • Prepare offer letters utilizing approved NexCore templates.
    • Coordinate all pre-employment activities including:
      • Background checks
      • Drug testing
      • Employment verification
      • Reference checks
      • Motor Vehicle Reports (when applicable)
    • Coordinate the complete onboarding process for new employees.
    • Initiate onboarding experience via ADP Workforce Now
    • Ensure completion of:
      • I-9 / E-Verify
      • Tax forms
      • Direct Deposit
      • Company policies
      • Benefit enrollment
  • Coordinate orientation and new employee training.
  • Ensure employees receive required equipment, system access, and introductions.
  • Monitor completion of onboarding tasks through ADP.
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
    • Conduct employee investigations involving workplace concerns, policy violations, harassment, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
    • Assist managers in administering progressive discipline consistent with company policy.
    • Promote a positive work environment focused on employee engagement and retention.
    • Conduct exit interviews and identify trends for improvement.
    • Coordinate the annual performance review process.
    • Maintain review schedules and communicate deadlines to managers.
    • Monitor completion of annual and introductory performance evaluations.
    • Coordinate merit increase recommendations.
    • Ensure wage adjustments receive appropriate approvals prior to implementation.
    • Maintain documentation supporting performance evaluations and compensation changes.
    • Ensure compliance with:
      • Federal employment laws
      • State employment laws
      • Local employment regulations
      • Company policies
    • Assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications.
    • Support workers' compensation administration and return-to-work programs.
    • Assist during HR audits and maintain required employment records.
    • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and qualifying life events.
    • Educate employees regarding available benefit programs.
    • Coordinate benefit enrollments with NexCore Benefits Administration.
    • Assist with leave administration including FMLA and ADA accommodations.
    • Support annual Open Enrollment activities.
    • None unless otherwise assigned.
