Full Job Description
JPI seeks motivated and detail-oriented Consultant to support the U.S. Coast Guard Contracting and Procurement Directorate (CG-HCA). This role supports program and resource management and requires proven success in personnel resource management, organizational design, program, and project management. The ideal candidate is an organized professional with exceptional writing, communication, and project management skills who can support multiple efforts in a fast-paced federal environment. This position is well-suited for candidates with experience supporting federal programs, or organizational transformation efforts. This role directly supports program leadership through executive-level communications and deliverables, project execution, meeting facilitation, task tracking, and reporting.

Responsibilities Include:
  • This role serves a large Government contracting and procurement organization, including executive directors, directors, and managers.
  • This role serves as part of a team reporting to the Senior Project Manager leading support to the office.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Implementing program and project management practices, processes, and procedures
  • Assisting with project governance
  • Supporting administrative activities related to federal hiring
  • Managing workload and staffing data reporting and tracking
  • Reporting on project activities, risks, issues, scope, and progress to executive management focused goals and objectives.
  • Developing and implementing summary project report structures and project success metrics.
  • Managing projects through all required governance processes and boards, ensuring all required deliverables are completed for each process.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field (Business Management, Finance, Information Technology, etc.)
  • 7+ years (or 5+ years and a Master's degree) of relevant experience supporting staffing and workload management activities with experience supporting the day-to-day requirements within the government sector, to include supervising a team
  • Industry standard project management certification(s) such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups to achieve staffing and resource management goals and objectives and delivering successfully on product requirements.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience reviewing deliverables to deliver high-quality results and work products.
  • Data analysis skills to support staff and workload modeling
  • Familiarity with staffing models to help balance workloads and staffing across offices
  • Familiarity with the USCG PAL and resource proposals to support organizational structure and design
  • Familiarity with federal hiring practices to support standardized position descriptions and administrative actions related to the hiring process
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including technical writing experience, and senior executive leadership engagement


JPI is hiring for several positions and will consider your application across our current and future openings. Expected compensation for this role is between 80,000-110,000, including a generous benefits package with comprehensive healthcare coverage.
