DescriptionYouLend is currently looking for a proactive, hands-on HR Manager to become the key HR presence for our growing US business.
Based in our Atlanta office, you will be the first point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters, providing practical, consistent and trusted support across the employee lifecycle.
This is a broad role where you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of HR across the US, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement and offboarding. You will also manage and develop an HR Coordinator, ensuring our core HR processes and employee experience run effectively.
You will work closely with the wider HR leadership team while building strong relationships with managers across the US business. We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the business, is comfortable operating independently and is equally willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done.
As our US business continues to grow, we expect the scope and responsibility of this role to grow with it, creating the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop into a more senior HR leadership position over time.

Key Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for HR matters across the US business, providing practical and timely support to employees and managers.
- Manage, support and develop the HR Coordinator, providing direction and oversight of day-to-day HR administration and processes.
- Manage employee relations matters independently, including performance, conduct, attendance, absence and other employee issues, ensuring a fair, consistent and compliant approach.
- Provide coaching and practical HR guidance to managers, helping them confidently manage and develop their teams.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management, employee engagement, development and offboarding.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers to understand requirements and deliver timely, high-quality hires.
- Support managers with performance conversations, employee development and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure HR policies, processes and practices are applied consistently and remain compliant with relevant US federal, state and local employment requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, processes and ways of working as the US organisation continues to grow.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.
- Support organisational change and business growth, ensuring employees and managers receive effective HR support throughout periods of change.
- Work closely with the wider HR team to maintain consistency and alignment across regions while recognising the specific requirements of the US business.
- Contribute to wider HR initiatives and projects relating to culture, talent, engagement and organisational development.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, People Manager or similar hands-on HR role, ideally within a fast-paced or growing organisation.
- Strong knowledge of US employment law and HR practices, with experience supporting employees in Georgia preferred.
- Multi-state HR experience would be advantageous.
- Strong employee relations experience, with the confidence and judgement to manage cases independently.
- Experience advising, coaching and supporting managers on a broad range of people matters.
- Experience managing, coaching or developing junior HR team members is preferred.
- Experience managing recruitment across the full hiring lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility with employees and managers at all levels.
- Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a wider HR team.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with a genuine willingness to be hands-on.
