• Drive workforce planning, organizational readiness, and HR preparations to support plant development and future operations.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
• Partner with local leadership to support business objectives, organizational growth, and a high-performing workplace culture.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, employee well-being, and HR policies and programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, community partners, educational institutions, and external organizations to support talent attraction, workforce development, and business objectives.
• Lead training, competency development, organizational development, and change management initiatives.
• Contribute to global HR projects and support employees and leaders across multiple regions.
• Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations that support business decisions.
• Oversee HR systems, employee data, reporting, and day-to-day HR operations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and labour relations.
• Experience supporting business growth, large-scale projects, or start-up operations.
• Proven ability to partner with leaders and balance strategic and operational HR priorities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, digital HR tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Assets
• CHRP or CHRL designation.
• Experience in a global or multi-site organization.
• Experience in unionized environments.
• Global mobility or international HR experience.

Location: St. Thomas, Ontario. The role will initially be remote, with occasional travel required during the project phase, and will transition to a full-time on-site position as the plant approaches start-up and operations. Travel outside of Canada could be required.
