Full Job Description
Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a HR Manager. This role is onsite at our Highland, IL facility. Relocation is provided within the United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Senior Human Resource Manager is an integral part of the site leadership team. The role will report directly to the Plant Manager in Highland and has one (1) direct report. This role will identity, develop and deploy business driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization that is capable of achieving the site objectives and action plans. Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to labor relations, staffing, culture, engagement and building organizational capabilities.

In this role you will:
  • Serves as a strategic HR Partner and advisor to the Highland, IL operations leadership team.
  • Drive HR functional excellence through Eaton programs, Eaton Business System alignment, process standardization and best-practice sharing.
  • Develop, implement and maintain compliant HR policies, practices, records, and operating review processes.
  • Oversee staffing, talent management, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee development.
  • Lead employee and labor relations across union and salaried populations, including investigations, grievances, discipline, contract interpretation and negotiations.
  • Provide full HR oversight for the Airport Lighting business.
  • Leads various employee relations activities such as management coaching, conducting investigations, and supporting the performance management process
  • Administer compensation practices and generate reports for regulatory, budgeting and auditing purposes.
  • Promote safety, security, wellness, community involvement and I&D initiatives, including MESH and Zero Incident Safety Culture efforts.
  • Build organizational capability by supporting the Eaton talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives in areas such as succession planning, organizational capability reviews, mentorship program, leadership development training, and performance management
  • Coach and influence leadership regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs follow local and governmental regulatory requirements and are driving an engaged culture.
  • Facilitates and participates in company-wide committees in support of the overall Eaton goals, such as wellness, community involvement, and inclusion & diversity initiatives
  • Partners with HR Services to complete wage assessment and develop market adjustment proposal (if required)
  • Facilitates the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations
  • Prepares and distributes HR related communication


Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional human resources experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Labor Relations experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Manufacturing industry/operations environment experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business or human resources from an accredited institution.
