Job Description

Join our Human Resources and Employee Experience Chief Data Office, where you will help strengthen the firm's HR data management and governance capabilities. You will partner with Business Controls and Workforce Technology teams to support consistent data stewardship across data classification, quality, protection, storage, retention, destruction, use and privacy. Our team values innovation and continuous improvement to deliver trusted data for decision-making while meeting policy and regulatory obligations.

As a Data Risk & Governance Associate in Human Resources and Employee Experience Chief Data Office, you will support the execution of data governance and controls across key HR data domains. You will work alongside subject matter experts and senior team members to help implement data management procedures, training and reporting. You will use metrics and control insights to help prioritize remediation that improves data quality and strengthens controls, and you will contribute to clear updates for governance forums and senior stakeholders. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in data, risk and HR.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of data management frameworks, procedures, and training materials to promote best practices across HR data domains.
  • Build and maintain governance materials (e.g., deck drafts, meeting notes, trackers) and help prepare insights for senior leadership and risk/governance councils.
  • Coordinate governance processes end-to-end by collecting inputs from stakeholders, synthesizing content into clear deliverables, and supporting timely submissions to required forums.
  • Assist with monitoring data management processes, controls, and policy adherence; help document opportunities to improve based on metrics, feedback, and evolving standards.
  • Execute established Alteryx workflows/packages to transform and prepare metrics datasets used for Tableau dashboards, following defined procedures and schedules.
  • Use firm applications to trace records and support analysis for metric validation, governance reporting, and issue follow-up.
  • Prepare and organize evidence for audit/review readiness (e.g., documentation, artifacts, version-controlled materials) and support follow-ups as needed.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Controls, and Technology stakeholders to track questions, actions, and decisions; escalate issues through defined channels with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support the HR Data Ownership Program by maintaining data owner requirement trackers, documenting ownership updates, and promoting stewardship and accountability.
  • Receive coaching from senior team members; take on increasing ownership of dashboards / metrics and governance deliverables over time.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, HR, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Risk, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in data governance/data management, business controls, operational risk, audit readiness, or compliance-focused roles; HR/workforce data experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn guidance into organized, repeatable processes (checklists, trackers, templates, training drafts).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear, well-structured PowerPoint materials and concise summaries.
  • Analytical skills and learning agility-comfortable working with metrics to identify trends and support prioritization.
  • Collaborative working style and comfort partnering across teams; ability to influence through preparation, follow-through, and clarity.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort with collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint) and data tools such as Alteryx and Tableau related data preparation.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee and workforce information; strong attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
