Job Title:
HR Business Partner

Reporting To:
Business Partner, Strategic HR

Work Schedule:
Onsite - Blacksburg, VA

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will be based in Blacksburg, VA and support business units and locations within the Space and Defense Group's footprint. You will proactively identify, define, and implement HR strategies that enable the business to increase performance and achieve strategic goals. You will partner closely with the Strategic HRBP and business leaders, contributing to decision-making beyond HR and helping shape the future of the organization.

You will report directly to a Strategic HRBP for the Power and Data Division based in Blacksburg, VA, and serve as a key member of the business management team.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive HR experience, with at least three (3) years as an HR Business Partner.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple sites or business units.
  • Proven ability to advise and influence leadership on both business and people-related matters.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in HR, Business, or related discipline.
  • Global HR experience, including exposure to international employment practices.
  • People management experience, including leading HR teams or direct reports.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).


As a HRBP, you will be responsible for....
  • Developing strong relationships with leadership to provide value-added HR support aligned with business objectives.
  • Partnering with the Strategic HRBP to manage the people agenda and deliver new and existing HR initiatives.
  • Contributing to business strategy development and execution, bringing an HR lens to organizational decisions.
  • Designing and implementing HR strategies that drive engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Leading organizational development, design, and change management efforts.
  • Owning and driving talent management processes including succession planning, performance management, and talent pipeline development.
  • Acting as a coach and role model, promoting a culture aligned with Moog's values and philosophy.
  • Managing HR metrics, analytics, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leading or participating in Group-wide or global HR projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to continuously improve policies, processes, and programs.
  • Representing the voice of the business within the broader HR function.
  • Recognizing and assessing complex organizational issues and recommend strategic solutions.

Salary Range Transparency:
Blacksburg, VA $130,000.00-$160,000.00 Annually
