Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is a senior individual contributor position within Human Resources, serving as the primary contact for managers and supervisors seeking HR services. The HRBP bridges HR processes with business objectives, serving as a consultant and advisor to assigned business units.
What you would do in this job - Provide consultation to managers and supervisors of the Environmental Services Division in the following areas of expertise: managing employee performance, employee relations, conflict resolution, job classification, reorganization and restructuring.
- Work proactively with assigned business unit leaders in the Environmental Services division to address workforce challenges and strategies.
- Lead and participate in HR projects and HR Strategic Plan initiatives.
- Partner with other HR subject matter experts (labor relations, learning and organizational development, occupational health, talent management) to integrate and deliver HR services and programs.
- Review and respond to workforce complaints as appropriate, which may include conducting investigations into employee misconduct.
What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications) Education & Experience:Any of the following combinations in completed education (in human resources management, industrial relations, business administration or closely related field) and experience (in human resources providing HR generalist consultation to managers and supervisors in all of the following areas; employee performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, job classification, and organizational restructuring).
- High school diploma/GED with at least nine (9) years of experience.
- Associate degree with at least seven (7) years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree with at least five (5) years of experience.
- Master's degree with at least three (3) years of experience.
What additional skills and experience would be helpful in this job (desired qualifications):- Experience working as a human resources generalist in a public sector, multi-union environment.
- Experience providing human resources generalist consultation to managers and supervisors working in operations, trades, or skilled labor environments.

What knowledge, skills, and abilities should you have within the first six months on the job:- Knowledge of human resources practices and principles.

- Skilled in HRMS systems, including HRIS, Learning Management Systems, Applicant Tracking, Onboarding and Performance Management systems for managing human resources processes.
