Role: IBM API Connect Lead Location: Lansing, MI Start Date: ASAP Duration: Long Term Experience Needed: 10+ Years Position details: Role: IBM API Connect Lead Location : Lansing, MI. We are seeking a senior technical leader with 10+ years of integration/API development experience and 5+ years of hands-on IBM API Connect (APIC) experience. The ideal candidate has strong Kubernetes knowledge and experience delivering APIs in containerized, cloud-native environments. AWS and Red Hat OpenShift experience are highly desirable. Must-haves: IBM API Connect (APIC), REST/SOAP services, API security (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS), JSON, XML, XSLT, Kubernetes, and proven experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans. Core responsibilities: Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise API/integration solutions; guide technical teams; mentor junior developers; drive end-to-end API lifecycle delivery; and build scalable, secure, reusable services aligned with enterprise standards. Strong pluses: IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, Red Hat OpenShift, CI/CD, AWS EKS, DevOps practices, enterprise integration patterns, and microservices architecture.
