Full Job Description
This Position reports to:
Director of Health, Safety and Environme

As a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor, you will contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance within your area of responsibility, helping to foster a high-performance culture with a strong commitment to HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying your HSE expertise, providing practical guidance and solutions, and ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence across the ABB value chain.

This role is contributing to the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada and is located in Montréal-Nord and Terrebonne.

The work model for this role is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Report HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Facilitate and support incident investigations to identify root causes and implement effective risk mitigation measures.
  • Provide feedback to management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within the local organization and across ABB.
  • Support and drive behavioral change by implementing global and business-specific HSE performance improvement programs and best practices at the local level.


Qualifications
  • You have a degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management.
  • You have strong knowledge of HSE management systems, compliance frameworks, and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • You possess solid knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 management systems, as well as HSE incident reporting software.
  • You have a passion for promoting behavioral change and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You are comfortable communicating in both English and French. English is required to communicate with customers and colleagues outside Quebec.
  • You hold a valid OHS Management Certificate and a current First Aid/CPR certification recognized in Quebec.
