In response to recent organizational updates within the Aeroderivative Gas Turbines Core Development unit, this role is established to ensure business continuity by leading the Producibility Engineering team across Canada and Mexico. The position is critical to aligning product design innovations with advanced manufacturing capabilities to drive strategic efficiency. To address these strategic business aims, this role focuses on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) optimization, cross-border team leadership, and seamless cross-functional collaboration. These core areas ensure that engineering designs are fully optimized for production, reducing time-to-market and manufacturing costs. Given the focus on producibility and international team management, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in gas turbine engineering, a proven track record in manufacturing technologies, and strong leadership capabilities in a multinational matrix environment.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • 40% Producibility & Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM)
    • Lead the evaluation and optimization of aeroderivative gas turbine designs to ensure maximum manufacturing feasibility, quality, and cost efficiency.
    • Establish and standardize DFM guidelines, review methodologies, and best practices within the Core Development organization.
    • Collaborate closely with design engineering and manufacturing operations to bridge technical gaps and facilitate smooth product transitions.
  • 30% Cross-Border Team Leadership
    • Manage, mentor, and develop the Producibility Engineering team located across Canada and Mexico, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Allocate engineering resources effectively across multiple core development projects to ensure business continuity and alignment with strategic timelines.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technical skill development within the distributed engineering team.
  • 30% Strategic Collaboration & Lifecycle Management
    • Partner with supply chain, quality, and operational planning departments to align engineering outputs with global production capabilities.
    • Oversee the transition of new product designs from the development phase into stable, high-yield manufacturing environments.
    • Represent the Producibility Engineering function in global technical reviews, stage-gate assessments, and leadership alignment meetings.\
