Full Job Description
In this leadership role, the IT Director will oversee the IT/BI function, manage the delivery of high-quality IT/BI solutions and services, and align technology capabilities to business outcomes. Partnering closely with the COO and business leaders, the IT Director provides strategic direction across the IT infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity and business intelligence functions.

Role & Responsibilities:

IT/BI Strategy, Executive Alignment & Portfolio Management
  • Partner with the executive team to shape and facilitate the organization's technology strategy, aligning IT/BI initiatives with business goals
  • Identify and champion technology opportunities that advance business objectives, quantifying expected value and building the case for investment
  • Guide the sizing, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives, and establish the conditions for their success
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, sizing, and approval process for IT/BI projects and changes
  • Create and maintain a rolling IT/BI roadmap that keeps the team organized and looking ahead

Business Applications
  • Lead the selection and implementation of business applications so solutions fit CHW's processes and are adopted in practice
  • Manage the ongoing improvement of existing applications, including changes, upgrades, refreshes, and technical debt
  • Direct a solution architecture capability that translates business requirements into sound system and process design, keeping usability at the center

Business Intelligence
  • Ensure the BI function delivers reliable, decision-ready insights
  • Support and guide sound data management, models, and governance appropriate to CHW's needs
  • Build toward a common data language, and maintain data cleanliness and consistency through governance and standards so that data becomes a strategic asset

Infrastructure, Operations & User Services
  • Oversee the design & reliability of IT infrastructure (servers, systems, and networks)
  • Set standards and direction of IT operations holding the team accountable for compliance and executional excellence.
  • Maintain service management practices and enforce IT policies for compliance and maturity
  • Ensure responsive end-user support that resolves issues quickly and keeps staff productive
  • Oversee the management and standardization of devices and endpoints
  • Establish & measure against clear service levels, using ticket trends to fix recurring problems and make everyday work easier for staff

Cybersecurity
  • Set security direction and monitor and measure adherence to it
  • Ensure alignment to a defined security standard, including periodic internal audits
  • Build security into initiatives from the start, with controls that protect effectively while minimizing friction

Leadership and Team Development
  • Lead and mentor-coach the IT/BI team, providing guidance and professional development
  • Foster a collaborative environment across the IT and BI functions
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels to ensure high-quality services
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to leverage innovative solutions that drive business growth and operational excellence

Education and Experience:
  • 8 years of proven experience in an IT leadership role, preferably IT Director or a similar position
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to align technology and business initiatives
  • Experience managing enterprise business applications, ideally in real estate development and project accounting (Yardi, MRI Software, or a comparable platform a plus)
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practices, especially ITIL
  • Proficient in implementing and improving service management processes
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in leading and managing the IT function and team.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field

Physical Demands:

The physical ability to perform tasks may require prolonged sitting, standing, and/or moving.
Employee positions themselves to install equipment, including under desks.
Moves throughout the office spaces, outdoor spaces, and building to access areas of service/installation.
Moves equipment weighing between 20-40 pounds without assistance. Moves more than 40 pounds with assistance.
This role requires the inspection of sites and areas at varying degrees of distance.

Compensation:

It may vary based on skills, experience and qualifications:

$180,000 - $210,000
