Head of Finance - North AmericaThe Head of Finance, North America provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all financial activities within the region. This role is responsible for the development and execution of regional financial strategies, ensuring alignment with global corporate objectives while maintaining robust internal controls, fiscal policies, and reporting standards.
As a member of the North America Leadership Team, the Head of Finance serves as a critical business partner to the regional President and the Global CFO, driving financial excellence and supporting the organization's long-term growth infrastructure.

Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Entity Leadership: Serve as Co-Managing Director for Heliox Technology Inc., providing executive-level leadership and accountability for the organization's legal and operational governance.
- Functional Oversight: Lead and manage the North America Finance department, ensuring the team is structured and equipped to support the company's regional expansion.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the North America President and Global CFO to provide data-driven insights, financial modeling, and strategic analysis to inform executive decision-making.
- Talent Development: Direct the performance, workflow, and professional development of the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
Financial Operations & Systems Control
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable/payable, payroll, project cost accounting, and general ledger management.
- Systems Optimization: Lead the optimization of accounting and reporting systems (SAP) to ensure a scalable and efficient functional infrastructure.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Reporting, Compliance & Treasury
- Financial Reporting: Direct the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Group policies and US GAAP.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements. Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and SEC reporting standards is highly valued.
- Treasury & Working Capital: Manage regional cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee debt collection and creditor payment strategies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide rigorous quarterly management reporting, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
Qualifications & Experience - Professional Experience: 8-10+ years of progressive experience in finance management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-functional teams.
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in US GAAP, management accounting, and tax accounting.
- Systems Proficiency: Demonstrated experience implementing and managing ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial modeling is required.
- Operational Agility: A "hands-on" leader capable of managing high-level strategy while remaining deeply involved in operational execution and system setup.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly desirable.

The pay range for this position is $145,156. - $248,839. annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
